Frederick Achom's Honors
After being selected one of London’s most influential 1,000 for two consecutive years, it can definitely be said that Nigerian born Frederick Achom has made his mark on the international scene. Once a year The London Evening Standard focuses on 1,000 people who have had the greatest influence on the city of which it is often said that “the best in London is the best in the world” – and Achom featured on that list in 2010 and 2011, both times in the category of Night Owls. Despite Achom’s many interests in property, fine wine and other food and beverage investments, it is his elite Hanover Square members’ only club, Jalouse, which has earned him his place on the elite 1000 list. The club opened its doors at the end of 2008 and has remained a center of attraction for the rich and famous ever since, with many celebrity visitors such as Pete Doherty and Paris Hilton, among others.
Endorsement for Frederick Achom has also come from outside of the clubbing arena with his appearance on the UK Black Power List also for two consecutive years – 2011 and 2012. This list, created by Powerful Media Ltd., profiles black individuals from all walks of life, who share a common drive for excellence and desire to influence, and who have had an exceptional impact on others. Hundreds of qualified candidates are nominated and a panel of judges narrows the list down to the most influential 100. Achom’s 2010 listing makes mention of the Rosemont Group holding company that he established, as well as his activities in property development, investment in luxury services and goods, the food and beverage industry and high class restaurants and exclusive clubs. Born in Nigeria, Achom was educated in England and started his business career in London’s financial sector.
